Earth Day Family Fun - Planting Geraniums!

  • Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens 145 Alverson Boulevard Everett, WA, 98201 United States (map)

This fun event allows participants the opportunity to plant geraniums by our copper-finished signs in the parking area. Much like the effect of reading to children, kids learn from this experience when they return to see "their" geraniums blooming profusely. Growing these annuals sets them up for gardening success as adults.

In addition to the planting activities, attendees will also have the chance to take home pots of Wintergreen as supplies last, perfect for creating their backyard oasis and furthering their green thumb endeavors.

"We're happy to host this Earth Day planting event and provide families with the opportunity to connect with nature while having a blast together," said Hap Wertheimer, Education Chair at Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens. "It's a day filled with laughter, learning, and fostering a love for gardening in the next generation. Everyone is invited, and the giggles are on the house!"

Don't miss out on this fantastic Earth Day event! Join us at the Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens on April 13th for a morning of planting, fun, and family bonding.
