Meet the Garden Curators

  • Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens 145 Alverson Boulevard Everett, WA, 98201 United States (map)

Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens invites all nature enthusiasts and curious minds to an enriching experience at this free event, which promises insight into our curators’ gardening decisions within the vibrant tapestry of the arboretum.

Renowned for its stunning natural beauty in all seasons and unique sculpture collection, Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens is pleased to offer this once-a-year opportunity for visitors to connect with its expert garden curators. The event aims to foster an engaging environment where attendees can learn, explore, and gain deeper insights into the world of horticulture.

Attendees will have the exclusive chance to engage in direct conversations with the Arboretum's seasoned curators. Whether you're a master gardener, a budding enthusiast, or simply curious about the natural world, this event promises to cater to all levels of interest. Have a burning question about plant care, sustainable gardening practices, or the history behind a specific plant species? The curators are here to (hopefully) provide the answers you seek.

"As a curator myself, I am excited to provide a platform for visitors to connect with us. One thing the public often does not know is that we are all volunteers," says Hap Wertheimer, one of the event organizers. "This event is an excellent opportunity for people to gain knowledge about the intricacies of our plant collections and gardening techniques from the experts who have nurtured the arboretum's beauty over the years."

Guests are advised to come prepared with questions, curiosity, and an eagerness to learn. If our curators don’t have the answer, rest assured they can research it and get back to you.
