Free Holiday fun for the whole family!
Lights on every night at 4 PM and Off at 8 PM
Wintertide Lights began in 2020 and continues to grow every year, delighting visitors from all over. Solstice Walk was added in 2023 and was so popular it is expanding too! Saturday, December 21st from 5-7 PM come enjoy a winter walk with luminaries, music and singing with Marco Cortes and a book reading for kids in our gazebo every 45 minutes, at 5:00 / 5:45 / 6:00 PM. Hay Girl Coffee Truck will be there too, selling hot drinks and cool treats!
Two Luminary Workshops
Saturday, December 7th & 14th from 4-6 PM
Kids and adults love creating their own luminaries! Our children’s workshops on Dec 7 and 14 from 4-6 PM are taught in the Arboretum Classroom by staff from Imagine Children’s Museum. But the Seniors Group at the YMCA and teens from Schack Center also hold their own luminary classes. Luminaries can be made many ways, using bags, globes or even milk jugs!
Come back with your luminaries on December 21st for Solstice Walk! If you don’t have time to make your own, milk jug luminaries will be available (a $5 donation is suggested) at the event.
support wintertide lights
Please donate to our general fund to ensure this continues to be an exciting, free event. Any amount helps. A $50 donation lights up an arborvitae gnome, $100 lights a bush while a $250 donation lights a tree. We acknowledge our Light a Tree donors on signage at the event and on our website under donations.
