Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens is pleased to announce a unique opportunity for gardening enthusiasts to learn the art of pruning from none other than Trevor Cameron, CPH (Certified Professional Horticulturist), General Manager of Sunnyside Nursery, and esteemed member of the Arboretum's board.
Scheduled for Saturday, March 16th, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, this half-day Pruning Demo Workshop will take place in Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens at 145 Alverson Blvd in Everett, WA. Attendees will have the exclusive chance to observe Trevor Cameron in action as he demonstrates the precise techniques of pruning focusing on the beautiful Maple Grove he curates within the Arboretum.

Learning to prune effectively often requires more than reading about it; seeing the process firsthand can significantly enhance understanding. Trevor Cameron's years of experience as a horticulturist and curator ensure that attendees will gain valuable insights into the when, where, and why of pruning cuts. The workshop is designed to fit any schedule, allowing participants to drop in for part of the pruning activity or stay for its entirety.
Attendees are advised to dress appropriately for the weather, as the workshop will be outdoors. Registration is not required; interested individuals can simply meet at the Arboretum's front entrance columns on the day of the event.

Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing public access to an extensive collection of ornamental plants in a beautiful setting. The Arboretum offers educational programs, events, and workshops to promote horticultural knowledge and appreciation in the community.
Our 2024 Annual Meeting & Dinner is Tuesday, March 12th beginning at 5PM in Floral Hall at Forest Park (802 E Mukilteo Blvd, Everett). Cost to attend is $40 per person, with the meal catered by Lombardi’s Restaurant. Reservations required. Open to members in good standing and their guests.
We are excited to share the group’s accomplishments and plans for the future. Arrive by 5:00 PM for happy hour with dinner at 5:30 PM. President Eileen Simmons will conduct officer elections and review the many accomplishments of the board in this, our 60th year and our ambitious plans for the future. Keynote speaker will be Trevor Cameron, CPH, General Manager of Sunnyside Nursery and long-standing board member.
Menu for the evening is Lombardi’s Classic menu: Stuffed mushrooms, Caprese Skewers, Mixed Green Salad, White Balsamic Vinaigrette, Creamy Gorgonzola, Bread & Roasted Garlic, Chicken Marsala Medallions, Salmon Picatta, Garlic Butter Fettucine, Seasonal Vegetables. Cake for dessert. Complimentary wine bar with beer, coffee and non-alcoholic seltzers.

Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens is excited to announce a free Winter Pruning Class with Trevor Cameron, CPH, scheduled for Ssaturday, Feb 17 from noon to 1 PM. The event will take place at Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens located at 145 Alverson Blvd, Everett, WA.
Winter is the perfect time for gardeners to learn the art of proper pruning, and this class promises to be an informative and enjoyable experience for attendees. Trevor Cameron, CPH, well-known General Manager of Sunnyside Nursery, will lead the session. As a long time member of the Arboretum's board and curator of both the Maple Grove and Horizontal Rock Gardens, Trevor brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the table.
Participants will have the opportunity to delve into the world of gardening tools, rules, and essential tips for effective pruning practices. Trevor Cameron will provide a hands-on demonstration in the beautiful outdoor setting of the Arboretum. Attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, as the class will be held outdoors. Registration is not required. Meet at the Arboretum’s front entrance columns.

Come have some fun making pompoms for Color Storm! at Great Yarns, 4023 Rucker Avenue in Everett. No experience necessary, This workshop will be held on Wednesday, Jan 31st from 3-5 PM. All pompoms will be hung in the Arboretum during March.
What you can expect: Yarns, pompom makers and a great time supplied! The pompoms will be mounted on stems and planted in the Arboretum’s entry bed or hung from trees. You can also make your pompoms at home and drop them off. Leave long tails to help us fasten them to stems or trees.
