Get details about the care of clematis, information about simplified pruning, and recommendations for easy clematis to try. You will receive an informative and detailed handout.

 Speaker Biography

Laura Watson enjoys sharing her ever-increasing clematis knowledge with others. She is a member of several clematis societies, is on the Governing Council of the International Clematis Society, and regularly attends International Clematis Conferences in Europe and the US. She has published articles in the Journal of the International Clematis Society as well as locally in the PlantAmnesty Newsletter and writes an informative clematis blog entitled Clematis in Seattle (http://www.clematisinseattle.com).

As a companion event on Saturday, June 19th, the public is invited to come to the Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens at 145 Alverson Blvd in Everett from 10 AM-Noon to join Sandy Schumacher, Sno. County Master Gardener, to learn more about Clematis they are growing and easy supports for a perennial border.
